Saint-Germain-en-Laye

Located in the department of Yvelines, the history of Saint-Germain-en-Laye has long been associated with its castle, which was a frequent place of residence for French kings, along with its forest, the former royal hunting estate. It is the 150th most populous town in metropolitan France. The town boasts several historical landmarks and museums, including the national archaeology museum (musée d’Archéologie nationale) in the Château de Saint-Germain-en-Laye.
