Travel along the river with the writers

Croisset

Croisset is a hamlet in the town of Canteleu, in Seine-Maritime, on the right bank of the Seine. This place owes its fame to Gustave Flaubert who lived there for 35 years and wrote most of his body of work in a house located on the riverside. Nothing remains of this house that was destroyed at the end of the 19th century. Only a garden pavilion has been preserved, which has now been converted into a small museum to Flaubert.
