Travel along the river with the writers

La Bouille

La Bouille is a town in Seine-Maritime. The medieval village is surrounded by hillsides and stretches along the banks of the river Seine. In the 19th century, it attracted both painters (Sisley, Turner) and writers. La Bouille is the birthplace of Hector Malot, whom the quays were named after.
